[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide IT backup and recovery services in the growing infrastructural needs for a next generation backup and recovery solution that can support local, hybrid and cloud-based deployments to the government authority located in Ohio.
- Single pane of glass solution for both local and cloud-based deployments
a) Ability to creating backup policies and protection jobs
b) Automated or machine learning based scheduling
c) Ability to schedule host exclusions
d) Manage retention and lifecycle for local and cloud-based backups
- VMware backup and restore of Windows and Linux at the VM and file level
- Physical machine backup and restore
- NAS and NFS share backup or restore
- Delegation of client restores
- Long term logging of backup information for auditor
- Replication to and restore from cloud-based storage
a) AWS S3 preferred
b) Direct replication to S3 IA, S3 Glacier preferred
c) Supported cloud deployment
- Alerting and Reporting
a) Compression and dedupe rates
b) Backup and restore throughput
c) Monitoring of daily backups and alerts on misses
- Database backup and restore capability
a) MSSQL
b) Oracle
c) MariaDB
- Full system and data recovery from backup metadata
- Supports utilization of a proxy (direct connect routing)
