[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide by an outside law firm to supplement the efforts of in-house legal counsel in handling various legal matters pertaining to Cleveland Metroparks business and governmental operations for supplemental general legal services and prosecutorial services to the government authority located in Cleveland, OH.
• Supplemental general legal services:
- Serves as supplemental legal counsel on general and specific legal matters, provides assistance with drafting or review of business contracts, instruments, documents; provides assistance on real estate transactions; provides legal representation, advice, and opinions in monitoring and resolving disputes that may lead to non-employment related litigation and performs other projects as assigned by the chief legal and ethics officer.
• Criminal prosecution:
- Cleveland Metroparks appears in 16 separate municipal courts. From time to time, cases are double or triple-booked requiring the presence of the Cleveland Metroparks Chief Prosecuting Attorney simultaneously. This firm or attorney will assist the Chief Prosecuting Attorney with the prosecution of cases before courts, including preparing necessary pleadings and covering hearings, discovery proceedings, trials and appeals.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than December 4, 2019
(3) The contract period will be for one year.
