Government Authority located in Columbus, Ohio; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for pest management services.

[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide pest management services to the government authority located in Columbus, OH.
- The quantity of buildings may increase or decrease as CCS buys, sells, razes, or vacates properties.
Vendor is expected to communicate with the head custodian or other primary contact (which might be the principal) on every visit to ensure that expectations are being met.
- Service must be compliant with Ohio Department of Agriculture regulations.
- The service must be modelled on an Integrated Pest Management program (IPM) for the control of structural and landscape pests that minimizes the use of pesticides while addressing pest control.
- Some buildings may require more often than monthly service to solve an ongoing. These are considered re-treats and are not eligible for "extra service" fees.
- Rodent control- A comprehensive rodent control program shall be initiated and maintained that will provide maximum protection from pests for all food, supplies and personnel in the identified areas. Trapping devices shall be checked on a routine schedule, consistent with pest plan. Contractor shall be responsible for disposal of all pests and carcasses in the appropriate lawful manner. All rodenticides shall be placed in tamper proof containers and attached to the floor, ground or wall securely in a location inaccessible to students, domestic animals or wildlife; with labeling that has the contractor’s information, with employee’s name and date of installation with service dates.
- In general, Contractor shall be responsible to avoid use of pesticides except for
- Manufactured paste or gel bates: Paraffin-based rodent control products placed in taper resistant containers as expressed in this document
- Termite baiting station
- Rodenticides which are placed in wall voids or other inaccessible areas
- Disinfectants, sanitizers, germicides and anti-microbial agents
- Dust used in unoccupied areas of a structure and when monitoring dictates that other methods have failed (such as vacuuming and trapping)
- Response to emergency requests - Priority 1 require same day service (such as stinging insects, pests in the kitchen). Priority 2 require 48-hour service (these include bed-bug searching and customer education, 1st siting of roaches outside of kitchens, etc). These are eligible for the emergency service visit fee. Priority 3 requests are to be taken care of during the next monthly service visit and are not eligible for extra fees.
- Communication of service requests will come primarily through a computerized work order management system. Vendor is required to comment and update status in this system on every work order in order to verify on-time completion rates.
- Quarterly in-person meetings with Columbus City Schools administrative staff. Vendor performance will be measured in the following metrics: On time completion rates of emergency calls, Customer complaints and praises, on time completion of scheduled monthly visits, Use or work order management system
- Not included in the base contract: Birds, bats, major termites’ issues, and all vertebrates (except mice and rats) such as raccoon, squirrels, ground hogs, rabbits, etc.
Service fees are only paid when service is provided
